Terms & Conditions for 5 Year (1 + 4 Year) Comprehensive Warranty Program

This Comprehensive Warranty Program (hereinafter referred to as Warranty Plan) is rolled out to cover Inverter Split Air Conditioner hereinafter referred to as “Product/Appliance” in good working condition via optional preventive maintenance service(s) on chargeable basis. The Purchaser will have to avail preventive maintenance services as per details below to avail this Warranty Plan. This Warranty Plan is offered by Whirlpool of India Limited (hereinafter referred to as the Company) to its Customer based within the serviceable areas of the Whirlpool Service Network in India , through its Authorized Service Partner(s). Coverage provided by this Warranty Plan as described in these Terms and Conditions will begin on the start date of the Validity Period (subject to realization of Warranty Plan Charges when applicable).

Eligibility Period: From 1st January, 2026 to 31st March, 2026

Warranty Plan Details:

The Warranty Plan will be for 4 years after the end of 1 year standard warranty period which gives a 5 year comprehensive warranty to the Product.

The Customer needs to get the installation done by brand or get the product registered online (in case installation is done by 3rd Party). Customer needs to avail 2 Preventive Maintenance Services yearly starting from 2nd Year till 5th year.

This Warranty Plan can be availed upto 15 days from the date of purchase invoice by registration online.

The customer must avail two (2) mandatory Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS) each year one (1) PMS in every 6 months, commencing from the second year of product ownership and continuing through to the fifth year (a total of eight PMS visits). These services are chargeable and will be provided at the applicable rates. Failure to avail the bi-annual PMS will render the warranty void. This Warranty Plan will be automatically terminated, in case the Customer does not obtain any one (1) of the Preventive Maintenance Services which becomes due every six months till the end of Warranty Plan from the Company’s Authorized Service Partner(s). In case of such termination, the Warranty Plan shall stand deactivated.
It is a limited period offer valid for product lineup of 2025 and 2026 only. This offer can be either revoked/terminated or extended solely as per the Company’s discretion. This Offer is applicable for purchases done through Whirlpool authorized Offline Retail Channels & Company website only.

How to request for Installation?

You need to call at our call center i.e. at 080-65188888 and register for installation of the Product. Upon registration, your call will be addressed by the personnel of the Company’s Authorized Service Partner(s) . Installation will be provided during the normal business hours on working days by the Company’s Authorized Service Partner(s).

During the term of this Warranty Plan, the Company, through the personnel of its Authorized Service Partner(s), will either:

Repair or replace at its own discretion, functional parts necessary to restore the Appliance covered by the Warranty Plan, to operating condition.

Considering continuous improvements & changes in technology / design / colors, it is possible that the replacement part may not identically match the defective part. However, the Company will be concerned only with restoring the covered Appliance to working condition and to this effect, exercise its discretion in utilizing components that may be different from the components being repaired or replaced in terms of the design, specifications, color, shape and brand. In case the repair / replacement is not technically possible at the site, the Company reserves the right to get such repair / replacement done at its workshop. Functional parts are only those component parts that are critical to the performance of the Appliance’s essential function, a component - the malfunction of which renders the Appliance non-operational. Part Coverage details are mentioned below for the Appliance

What is covered:

PCB, Condenser Coil, Evaporator Coil, Compressor, Fan motor and Swing Motor.

What is not covered:

Gas charging, Preventive Maintenance Service, Outer cabinet, Rubber components, Plastic parts, Remote handset, Front grill, Metal parts of the chassis, casing, or stand and Air Filters.

How to obtain service:

This offer will be strictly applicable only if Installation by brand or Extended Warranty Registration & PMS Service are availed through the company.

For cases where brand installation is not availed (3rd Party Installation), customers must register the product within 15 days from the date of Invoice by emailing details to promotional_warranty@whirlpool.in

Details to be mailed should include Customer’s Name, Contact details, Product Invoice Copy Image (GST Invoice), Indoor unit Serial Number Image, customer’s address with pincode.
Service will be provided during the normal business hours on working days by the Company’s Authorized Service Partner(s).

Limitations of coverage/liability:

A. This Warranty Plan will cover any or all of the following services as stated in the Leaflet,relevant to the Appliance covered:
B. Cost of the re-processed or replaced functional parts.
C. Any call for diagnosis and replacement of parts not covered under this Warranty Plan will be billed at rates as applicable on the date of such service delivery. Labor and Visit will be charged as per rates applicable.
D. Whirlpool will not reimburse the Customer for repair work performed by a third party that is not arranged through this Warranty Plan.
E. Defective parts that have been replaced in the covered Appliance are the property of the Company. They must be handed over to the personnel of the Company’s Authorized Service Partner(s).
F. To keep this Warranty Plan in force during its term, the Customer agrees to fully cooperate with the Company and its Authorized Service Personnel, during the diagnosis and repair of the covered Appliance; to provide access to the covered Appliance and a non threatening and safe environment for service in his / her home; the presence of an adult at the time of scheduled service; and that he / she will provide the Company with proof of the date & value of purchase, brand, model and serial number of the covered Appliance for contract coverage verification, prior to any service being scheduled under this Warranty Plan. The Customer further agrees to protect the Appliances covered by this Warranty Plan From damage and to comply with any instructions included in the User Manual for the Appliance.
G. Whirlpool is not and shall never be liable for repair or replacement, for any Appliance,caused by defects that existed prior to the purchase of this Warranty Plan, or for any loss,injury or damage, including, but not limited to, incidental or consequential damages,because of any delay in providing service, repair, replacement or refund under this Warranty Plan.

Exclusions from coverage

A. Any Appliance used for other than normal, single family household use. Coverage of Appliances used in business or commercial applications as well as community use, will be determined at the sole discretion of the Company.
B. Normal maintenance and cleaning as suggested in the User Manual supplied with the Appliance (i.e. cleaning of filters, lint removal, etc.).
C. Damage to Appliance caused by accident, misuse, theft, riot, strikes, fire, flood, infestation, environmental damage, accidental or intentional interruption of electrical power, inadequate or fluctuating electrical power, plumbing, water lines connected to the Appliance but not internal to it, war, acts of God, use of spurious parts or use of the
Appliance in a manner not authorized in its User Manual.
D. Damage to Appliance incurred while moving the Appliance to another location or reinstallation not by the Company's Authorized Service Partner after it has been moved.
E. Removing or reinstalling of an Appliance installed in an inaccessible location or not installed in accordance with its installation instructions.
F. Finish defects, discoloration, dents, scratches, peeling, rusting, corrosion, or component failure resulting from rust or corrosion on any Appliance. Deterioration in condenser coils due to environmental / climatic conditions.
G. Non-functional parts and labor in connection with the diagnosis and replacement of nonfunctional parts is not covered by this Warranty Plan.
H. Noise and / or vibrations caused by moving components as in the compressor, motor, fans, etc.
i. Repair or replacement of any Appliance with removed or altered serial numbers on the Appliance chassis and on critical components, including but not limited to, components such as compressors, motors.

Transfer of ownership:

The Customer can not transfer Warranty Plan if ownership of the Appliance is transferred.

Renewals, Cancellations and Terminations:

A. The Company is not obligated to offer a new Warranty Plan when the current Plan expires.
B. This warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the product only and is non-transferable.
C. Repairs or replacements will be carried out by service personnel authorized by Whirlpool of India Limited only.
D.Whirlpool's liability under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only. The decision to repair or replace a part will be at the sole discretion of Whirlpool of India Limited.
E. Whirlpool of India limited reserves the rights, at its discretion, to replace any defective part with the same or substitute part without affecting the performance of the product. All parts removed by Whirlpool of India Limited shall be property of Whirlpool of India limited.
In the Event Whirlpool of India limited carries out repairs or replacement of any part during the said warranty period , The warranty shall thereafter continue only, for the remaining period of the warranty.
F. The warranty shall be rendered void if the product is opened, repaired, or tampered with by any unauthorized personnel; if the product is subjected to misuse, neglect, improper installation, abnormal voltage fluctuations, faulty stabilizer usage, or damage due to acts of God, fire, or flood.
G. The company shall not be liable for any consequential or resulting liability, damage, or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the air conditioner.
H. This offer is not applicable to any institutional purchases.
I. This offer is applicable to customers using Whirlpool air conditioners for residential purposes. This offer does not apply to commercial applications such as shops, offices, hospitals, hotels, etc
J. Whirlpool of India Limited shall not be Liable or be deemed to be in default for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from causes beyond its reasonable control including delay in repair due to non availability of any component or accessories, labour problem, restriction and regulation of the government , public movement, war and any unavoidable circumstances.
K. All other terms and conditions as mentioned in the standard user manual shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to the extent that they are not inconsistent with the terms stated herein.
